We are looking for bright and motivated Developers and Designers to join our team.

We are focused on simplifying e-commerce, allowing anyone to create online stores in minutes. Our customers will be relying on your technical skills, to support, maintain and extend their existing online business software. Thousands of people will be impacted by your work as our small team, currently services hundreds of small and medium size clients.

At Jumpseller, you will always tackle different problems on a weekly basis. You may be working on revamping an existing feature or brainstorming on how a new feature or different approach will solve a specific costumer’s problem. You could be integrating a new payment gateway to better serve Danish customers and next week bug-fixing a responsive web page in HTML5.

As a developer, you will be mostly working in a Ruby environment. It is a nice plus if you have had experience in Ruby and related frameworks although we are not looking for someone who is a technical expert on a particular programming field or type of software. We do expect to hire a proficient and pragmatic software developer, motivated to pick up the best tool for the problem at hand.

As a web designer, you will be mostly working in a pure HTML/CSS environment. It is a nice plus if you have had experience in jQuery and delivered projects on top of Foundations or Bootrap frameworks. You'll have great attention to detail producing pixel-perfect work and be resposible for optimize design and performance across all devices using clean code.

As a marketeer, you will be mostly working on lead generation and sales-funnel optimization. It is a nice plus if you have had experience in SEM and SEO. We look for generalists, with experience focusing on the mechanics of growth - funnels, analytics, acquisition channels, onboarding and A/B testing.

You will be okay with searching for a better solution and ditching something in favor of a simpler approach or different idea. Our final work comes after an iterative process, so your work should be easy to read and understand by others & ready to change in response to external feedback.

While it is not important if you have recently graduated from University or have been working in the web field for a couple of years, we expect you to be proactive and to work with little or no supervision and stand to your own commitments.

UI Developer

The Role

We're looking for someone to focus on improving our user interfaces, both in terms of design and user experience.

You Are

  • A generalist, with experience in image editors, html / css frameworks and javascript libraries;
  • Have both design and technical skills;
  • Excited to move fast and deliver pixel perfect work;
  • Excellent in communication and teamwork.

You Will

  • Help to define the user model and user interface for new and existing Jumpseller features;
  • Develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas;
  • Gauge the usability of new and existing features, and making constructive suggestions for change;
  • Produce visual designs which look good and work in any browser / device at the same time;
  • Turn mockups in HTML, CSS and Javascript code that deal with the wonders of browser compatibilities;
  • Take responsibility.

You Have

  • Demonstrated experience in designing usable interfaces for web or mobile based products;
  • Expert HTML skills;
  • Knowledge of Javascript for the frontend (ReactJs experience is valued);
  • Strong, clean visual design sense;
  • Able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally in English and in Portuguese or Spanish.

Microservices Trainee

We focus on making e-commerce easier for everyone, so businesses can focus on what they do best: building and selling their products. Today, merchants use the Jumpseller platform to manage every aspect of their online business — from products to orders to customers, selling online, on mobile, and on social networks.

The Role

We are open to host an internship focused on payment methods integrations and/or third-party integrations. Most work is focused on building independant full-stack applications, mostly based on webservices integrations between Jumpseller API and third-party systems - nowadays termed "microservices".

You Are

  • Attending a bachelor/master degree in Informatics (or related);
  • Experience in Ruby;
  • Experience in JSON/XML;
  • Some experience in MySQL, or other relational databases;
  • Some experience in HTML/CSS;
  • Excellent in English communication and teamwork.

You Will

  • Explore payment gateways (think PayPal or Stripe) or third-party services (think Facebook or Zendesk) APIs and their technical documentation;
  • Design and architect integration scenarios and data-flow sequencies;
  • Create simple, yet functional, user interfaces;
  • Build and manage the underlying infrastructure (Heroku);
  • Implement this integrations and support its first users;
  • Take responsibility & ownership of your work.

Customer Support Responsible

The Role

We're looking for someone to be our Customer Support Responsible. Someone who loves to help others, someone who can feel empathy when dealing with customer’s problems and who can relate to and understand the goal of our Jumpseller service.

You Are

  • Passionate, caring and empathic person, who likes to listen and solve other people’s problems;
  • An advanced computer user, with previous experience on support or marketing roles;
  • Excellent in communication and teamwork.

You Will

  • Help merchants set up their e-commerce solution;
  • Answer about 75+ emails per day once you’re fully up to speed (2-3 months on-ramp);
  • Meet with key customers, on the phone or personally, presenting Jumpseller and help them solving their e-commerce doubts and problems;
  • Document & automatize replies for frequently asked questions;
  • Gauge the usability of new and existing features, and making constructive suggestions for change;
  • Take responsibility & ownership of your work.

You Have

  • A bachelor/master degree in Marketing, Journalism, Phycology (or similar);
  • Demonstrated previous professional experience on Support or Marketing roles;
  • Advanced computer skills, from an user perspective;
  • Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and orally in English and Spanish. Portuguese is a plus;
  • Publications on media outlets, blogs or social networks is a plus;
  • Web-design or programming experience is a plus.
